Bagels and Books Children’s Author Series: Meshuggah Food Faces

Join authors Bill and Claire Wurtzel for a fun, interactive morning creating with your children funny Jewish-themed food art images from their book, Meshuggah Food Faces.

The book, packed with more than 100 funny food art images with a Jewish sense of humor, reflects Bill’s youth in the Borscht Belt of the Catskill Mountains in New York. The funny captions, written by Claire are inspired by her upbringing in New York’s Lower East Side.

You’ll meet Jewish family members Uncle Max the Macher, Cousin Yetta the Yenta, and celebrities like Flankenstein, Banana Streisand and Sigmund Fruit. There’s even a food face for each Jewish “challahday

Food supplies will be provided for the program.
