Do I have to be a member to take classes at the MBJCC?

Members receive discounted rates on all classes and have access to the entire facility including our fitness center and swimming pool. However, you do not have to be a member to participate in classes or any other program at the MBJCC. Our membership team is always available to review various membership options, including the new Social Membership for those solely interested in classes and cultural activities.

What about parking?

A perk of membership, parking in the on-campus parking lot is reserved for members only on a first come, first serve basis. Additionally we offer complimentary valet for members. Alternative parking options include: city parking at the municipal garage one block east on Sheridan Avenue for $1 per hour, or street parking.

Can I attend a class that I have not registered for?

Please inquire with the specific department if you would like to try out a class.

Do you pro-rate for classes that I can not attend?

We understand that schedules can be hectic, therefore we will happily pro-rate for up to the first three classes in a given session. No changes will be accepted after the third week of class.

What is your refund policy?

A full refund will be issued for any class that is canceled by the MBJCC due to low enrollment or schedule changes. MBJCC programs require a minimum number of participants. No class will begin without the required minimum enrollment. In addition, if for any reason you withdraw from a class prior to the first class meeting, you will be issued a full refund. A MBJCC credit will be applied to your account for classes not attended should you choose to withdraw after the third class unless the withdrawal is for medical reasons. In event of medical withdrawals (with adequate documentation) the participant will be issues a credit for the subsequent term.

How do I find out about new classes and upcoming events?

There are a few easy ways you can stay connected. Give us your email address so we can send you our weekly newsletter and calendar. Visit our website and Facebook page for up to date news. Or simply come in! Stop by the front desk or check out the display in our lobby for flyers and brochures on all there is going on at the MBJCC.

Parking in the Lot:

We welcome all members to park in the lot. Our parking spots are reserved for you. Make sure you display your blue parking pass, which indicates your membership status. If you need a second hangtag for an additional family car (There is a limit 2 per family) or if your parking pass has expired make sure you request another one at the front desk. Just like your key fob to get into the building, your parking pass is yours and yours only – please do not give it to others to use.

Reminder: The Miami Beach JCC parking lot is reserved only for Members using the facility. Please do not park in the lot and leave the campus or leave your car on-site overnight. For security reasons, and to maximize the availability of parking spots, cars left at the MBJCC after hours, or cars left in the lot by people doing business away from the MBJCC, will be towed.

Can’t Find a Spot? If you are attending the MBJCC and the parking lot is full, we urge you to use Valet or the municipal parking garage located on Sheridan Avenue and 42nd Street.

Do you have a flexible schedule? If so, the MBJCC welcomes you to come visit during our less used hours. We suggest Monday – Friday 5:30 am -8:30 am and 12:00 pm – 3 pm. We are also open until 8 pm.

Unlimited Parking Just Steps Away: If you are attending the MBJCC and the parking lot is full, we urge you to use the municipal garage located on Sheridan Avenue and 42nd Street, which charges $1 per hour. The walk from the Sheridan garage to the MBJCC is just 450 steps away – that’s a closer walk than it takes from many JCC parking lots to the facility.
Get to the J the Healthy Way: Live in the neighborhood, walk to the MBJCC as your warm up or to achieve your daily step goal.
