Donor News

Dear Friends,

As we conclude our 2023-24 season, we find fortitude in the power of our community. In the heart of Miami Beach, the Miami Beach JCC stands as a beacon of unity and communal strength. We hope you have found this to be a place of comfort, of inspiration, of hope and of service during this most challenging year.

Today, we are reaching out to you with a heartfelt appeal for additional support.

We believe that community is the bedrock of a fulfilling life. At all ages and stages, our human connections and relationships form and inform us. From our new Early Childhood Academy to our after-school and Enrichment programs, Sports, Fitness, and vibrant cultural arts programs and events, we serve nearly 6,000 people throughout the year, and we are growing!

Your generous contributions will enable us to:

  • Enhance Our Programs: By funding new and existing initiatives, we can provide more comprehensive and varied programming for all age groups.
  • Maintain Our Facilities: Your support helps us keep our facilities safe, welcoming, and state-of-the-art.
  • Expand Our Outreach: We aim to reach more individuals in our community, especially those who are most in need of our services.

Every dollar you donate directly impacts our bottom line, with 15% of our annual budget generated through donor contributions and sponsorships.

There are many ways to support:

  • Donate: A financial contribution of any size makes a significant difference. You can choose to fund scholarships, enhanced security, or the programs that mean the most to you.
  • Volunteer: Your time and skills are invaluable. Becoming part of our leadership committees helps us offer more to our community.
  • Spread the Word: Share our mission with friends and family. Encourage others to join and support .

It is not too late to make an impact with a contribution this year.
Make a donation by June 30 to help make us reach our goals.

Thank you for being an integral part of our community. Together, we can build a stronger, more vibrant future.

We ARE Powered By Community!

With Gratitude,

Karen Sepsenwol
Development Director

Capital Donors

Have You Seen Our New Furniture?
You are invited to gather and socialize in our new lounge spaces located in the lobby
and upstairs in the Sam Schechter Hall.

A Huge Thank You to Max and Cathy Alcalay and everyone at Addison House for donating this beautiful furniture!

The Everyone Belongs Scholarship Fund

Each year, the MBJCC provides $250,000 scholarship and financial assistance to families for membership, after-school and enrichment programming, sports and summer camp tuition. We will never turn a family or individual away due to their inability to pay. The Everyone Belongs Scholarship Fund is funded each year through donor support.

Wiesenfeld Family Security Fund

This fund was established by community leaders and the MBJCC Board of Directors in the wake of October 7 to dedicate additional resources for armed security personnel and equipment. The Wiesenfeld Family Security Fund was named in recognition of a generous gift to the MBJCC Capstone Capital Campaign made by Jason Wiesenfeld, a longtime MBJCC supporter and leader.

Patron of the Arts

Arts & Culture at the MBJCC has touched thousands of lives through film, literary programs, musical concerts, art gallery exhibits, cultural outings, and various special events, lectures and speakers. This is made possible through the generosity of our Patron of the Arts donors who are committed to our mission of being the center of Jewish arts & culture on Miami Beach.
