Please join us for a special class with esteemed educator Dr. Miriam Klein Kassenoff, Studying the Holocaust Through Film, Literature, and Testimony, a four-part workshop taking place at the Miami Beach JCC from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Monday, January 6, 13, 20, and 27.
Join the class to hear inspiring new topics such as Hidden Children in the Holocaust, In-Person Testimony on the Bielski Partisans and Armed Resistance, Films, and Diaries, as well as reviews of books that should be read.
Each participant will receive a FREE copy of Peter Hayes’s book Why? Explaining the Holocaust.
Dr. Miriam Klein Kassenoff is the founding director of the Holocaust Teacher Institute at the University of Miami and the Holocaust Education Specialist for Miami-Dade County Public Schools. She will be joined by Nikki Freeman, the Director of Education at the Holocaust Memorial in Miami Beach.
The class cooperates with the Holocaust Memorial of Miami Beach (GMJF), the University of Miami Holocaust Teacher Institute, and the Miami Dade County Public Schools Department of Social Sciences.
