Registration & Programs
Register Early! MBJCC programs can fill up fast. Register early to ensure your spot. If your preferred program is full, ask to be put on a waiting list — if our waiting lists are long enough, we may offer additional courses. How do I register for a class? Visit mbjcc.org/register and log in to browse our schedules and programs. You can search for programs by interest, class name, age, day, and time. Click the Register button on any class to complete your enrollment. Program fees must be paid in full upon registration. Do I have to be a member to take classes? You do not have to be a member to participate in classes or any other program at the MBJCC. However, members receive discounted rates on all classes and have access to the entire facility including the fitness center and pool. Our membership team is available to review options including the Social Membership for those interested in classes and cultural activities only. Can I attend a class I have not registered for? Please inquire with the specific department if you would like to try out a class. Do you pro-rate for classes I cannot attend? We will happily pro-rate for up to the first three classes in a given session. No changes will be accepted after the third week of class. What is your refund policy? A full refund will be issued for any class canceled by the MBJCC due to low enrollment or schedule changes. If you withdraw prior to the first class meeting, you will receive a full refund. A credit will be applied to your account for classes not attended if you withdraw after the third class, unless the withdrawal is for medical reasons — in which case, a credit for the subsequent term will be issued with adequate documentation.
Facility, Parking & General
What about parking? Parking in the on-campus lot is reserved for members on a first come, first serve basis. Members also enjoy complimentary valet. Alternative parking options include city parking at the municipal garage one block east on Sheridan Avenue for $1 per hour, or street parking. Non-member guests may use the valet ($6) or the Sheridan Ave / 42nd Street municipal garage. How do I find out about new classes and upcoming events? Sign up for our weekly newsletter to receive the latest news, schedules, and events in your inbox. Visit our website and social media pages for up-to-date announcements, or stop by the front desk to pick up program flyers and brochures. What is the MBJCC’s food and kashrut policy? Dietary laws are observed at the MBJCC. All outside food and beverages are prohibited inside the center and on the pool deck — all food and snacks must be purchased from the MBJCC. The MBJCC is a nut-aware facility. All children’s programs that provide snacks or beverages are nut-free. Can a nanny or caregiver bring my child? Yes, with written authorization from the member family. A nanny or caregiver is not considered a member and may not use MBJCC facilities unless a separate membership has been acquired. What happens with lost items? Any items found will be placed in the Lost and Found for 3 months before being donated to a local charity. Contact the Service Desk for assistance. The MBJCC assumes no responsibility for lost or stolen items.
