Topic: Ida Rubinstein: The Jewish Patron Who Changed Modern Music Discover how dancer, actress, producer, and philanthropist Ida Rubinstein used her artistic vision and financial support to inspire and commission some of the twentieth century’s greatest musical masterpieces, including works by Maurice Ravel, Claude Debussy, and Igor Stravinsky. Dr. Alan Mason is an outstanding instructor for JCC-U/ Alan received the Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the University of Miami, and is a retired Associate Professor of Music at Barry University. He is the Director of Music at Bet Shira Congregation, and the conductor of HaZamir Miami, a chapter of HaZamir: The International Jewish Teen Choir.
