Get Your Hands in the Clay

Here at the J we offer ceramics classes for those who like a more laid-back arts experience. Sign up for a ceramics class and see what you can make — it is a great way to get into our Arts and Culture programs or just to get out and enjoy yourself. Just bring your imagination! Our ceramics program is part of JCC-U, the MBJCC’s comprehensive adult learning and engagement initiative, and is open to students of all experience levels. Whether you are picking up clay for the first time or looking to refine advanced techniques, our ceramics program has a class for you.

Beginner Ceramics

For those with little or no ceramics experience, our beginner classes offer a fun, low-pressure introduction to working with clay. Students explore hand-building techniques, basic forms, and surface decoration in a relaxed and creative environment — just bring your imagination.
